hey just bought a new tank its a 160 litre tank i was just wondering what i could really stock in it at the moment i have 2 guppys as 2 have died. I have 9 neons 4 corys 4 clown loaches 2 borneo suckers and a plec but the tank still looks really bare i almost forgot i have a blue ram also guppys are fully grown same as for neons also any ideas or help would be really appreciated it thanks.

Hi and welcome
Sadly, your tank is way too small to house a single Clown Loach, let alone 4. If you decide to remove them however, you can add loads more fishes, you may want to look at some Gold Gouramis

How big are the clown loaches. They need large tanks of about 90 gallons as they grow bigger.

I wouldn't add anymore fish with having 4 clown loaches in the tank.

What are your present water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

also... what plec have you got? 'cos a common plec will out grow your tank very quickly... sorry!

my water is spot on ive had the fish for awhile just moved tanks but bought the clown loaches the other day they are not even an inch yet they are really small and im not even sure what me plec is i got it off someone had it for ages but now its about less then 5 inches i will eventually upragde my tank but would be after the xmas now so im hoping well been told clown loaches grow really slow so aslong as i upgraded me tank then it would be ok for time been surely. thanks again for the advice tho

Also, if fish have died recently, it might be worth checking your water stats and making sure everything is a-OK before thinking about adding new guys...
