New Tank Recommendations Please

Just bought a second hand 60g tank. Its been drilled for external filters, but none of the filters, heaters etc were included so I need to buy these. Can you please suggest a good external filter to use with this tank?

Also my girlfriend loves Silver Dollars, so I am going to put a school of 5 or 6 fish in the tank. What would make good tank mates with the Dollars?

i dont know about a external filter but for the silver dollars you could get some rams or some large tetras like columbian or black widow tetras. anything bigger than 5 or 6 cm's incase the silver dollarseat them.
