new tank.....help

ive never seen a tank like this, it came this mornin without me even sending out the check, it has a broken plastic base bit, im not worried bout that.
i was wondering what this long thing is in it.....see pick

This is the end of an air pump with the air stone and tube, do you have the pump?

the circle is showing tiny lil bump in which the light is held on by, there is two of theesse, now ill show u the light.......

this is the light, the two holes fit onto the two bumps which is not secure when u hold it upside down
