after a few weeks of convincing the mrs that we need a bigger tank she has agreed to a 60x24x18 :hey: Its very similar to the one that ND Aquatics do http://www.ndaquatics.co.uk/?pg=details&ii=19

We are ordering it the last week of June/1st week of july depending on when work pay my bonus. So its gonna be another headache of deciding on what to stock it with

congratulations :good: . I have recently made a deal with the wife that if I Redecorate the living room and get a new suite I can get a tank upto a 7ft.

Main reason I have to decorate is the radiator will need moving from one wall to another so I can fit the tank in. Looks like you will get yours before me, will be looking forward to the pics.

hope your not paying that price for it .

im sure if you shop about you will get the lot under £400 ive just a aqua one 1200 with lights and filter heater and a power head for less then you are willing to pay .

Click here<---- this is the type of cabinet I have set my eyes on, but it does bump the price up from what the tank costs on its own. I prefer them to what ND offer

i only used the ND aquatics as an example as its the closet to the one im getting lol.. The one im looking at comes with 2 Fluval 405 external's, heater, sand and lights for £600 delivered. which i dont think is a bad price to say whats included..

thats a better price why dont you throw it open and see if sum one can beat it. you could split the saveing with me lol.

LOL.. Im gonna be cheeky and ask them if i can swap the fluvals for the new G6 http://www.aquariumsdelivered.co.uk/catalog/new-fluval-g6-power-filter-p-3438.html

i had to make a deal aswell  which involved letting the mrs redocorate the living room and kitchen, which i dont mind as i get a bigger tank out if it. Not sure if my bank balance will agree

Congrats on the convincing of the mrs, did you like me have to guarantee that this would be it, no more new tanks after this one?

Same dimensions as my new tank, lovely size, and heavy!

That's a good deal you found too...I paid that for the tank and cabinet alone, mine came new from Seabray. I'd try for ex1200's as a replacement for 405's, only cause I have 2 and I think their great :)

good idea on the filters, they do seem to be reliable.. will look at that option. Yeah i had to promise that when this one arrives then it would be the last one  unless we happen to move to a bigger house then i might be asking again.

did you hypnotise your missus?
  no, i wish it was that simple! She gets to redecorate the living room and kitchen with a slightly higher budget than normal

hehe, that's exactly my position, more space = more and/or bigger tanks :)
No way could the mrs refuse, that would be a clause in any new home decision!

Crazy though, my fish keeping puts more of an emphasis on getting a bigger home than any thing else....gotta love the fishy's
