Fish Fanatic
hi all
i have my new tank arriving at the end of the month and have decided to go for a cichlid setup instead of expanding my existing 125ltr planted tropical. my new tank will be 48 x 24 x 18 (w x h x d) and filtered by an fx6, 2 x 200w heaters and coral sand.
i have a few questions im hoping you can help with.
1. will large lumps of lava rock be suitable to use for the aquascape? i'm undecided between this and a red/black natural slate i have seen locally.
2. will the fx6 provide enough flow or may i have to look into getting a wavemaker?
3. is this stocking ok, 5-6 yellow labs, 5-6 electric blue johanno, 4 melanchromis chipokae and a pair of frontosa?
4. can i keep my bristle nose plec in the new tank?
cheers all, look forward to hearing your thoughts
