Hi,
I'm looking to buy a 5ft tank to house some clown loaches I inherited and some other community fish. I like the look of the cleair tigris 600 litre, but there's not much information about it online, which is a concern:
http://www.shirleyaquatics.co.uk/aquarium-supplies/tigris-600-tank-and-cab-black/awggz1500bl
I like the look and the footprint is ideal for the space I have.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience of them?
These look like imports from China and one thing that I'm suspicious about is, finding the same model on Alibaba, shows it as a jellyfish tank:
https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...94171.html?spm=a2700.7724838.2017115.1.3NlU1V
Does that mean the filtration would be impractical for a community tank and need replacing or would it be suitable for a community tank too? Anyone know the specs for the filter in these tanks? I've asked the distributor, but not heard back yet.
Also, it comes with built in powerheads, that would be good for a clown loach biotope, but if they are designed for jellyfish would they be too aggressive or maybe not well suited for a sand substrate that you may not have with jellyfish?
Anyway, if anyone has any experience with this tank or any other related advice, I'd be very keen to hear from you.
Thanks!
Steve
