Hi all,

i have often been a guest just browsing the fourms, but now decided to register and post a question

ive got my new tank arrivng in about 3 - 4 weeks, its a 400 liter, think thats about 90 gall if memory serves correctly with the conversion rates, its going to be a tropical setup

The stand could quite easily fit a sump into it, ive been wanting to install a sump into one of my tank setups for a while, so I thought while ive got time and before everything was setup id ask on this forum about the subject for some advice

ive read around about sumps and apprently a decent sump is around 2/3rds of your main tank, so that makes around 264 litres for the sump, the stand can quite easily fit this

i have done some rough drawings of my sump layout and 2 designs for a overflow box, could someone please check over these drawings and check them for me if possible as im not 100% sure this would work

if possible does any one know what the turn over rate would be on a tank this size and the what sort of return pump to use?

any comments good or bad would be greatfully thanked

many thanks
