New style Juwel pump/powerhead noisy.

completely silent, but the new style, which claims to be even quieter?? is making a humming sound constantly.

I've had it replaced and the replacement hums too.

Anyone else have this problem and any ideas on how to solve it?

mine does that too, vibrates like a er well lets not go there.

i've tried putting foam under the lid to absorm some noise but doesn't work.

Yo! same as the two of you. It's the lid that's amplifies the vibrations, and then noise I get. I've now got two panda eyes to remind me to do something about it.

one thing that works for a while is cleaning the pump, appologies if i'm stating the obvious but i didn't realise you can take the pump apart.

pull out the water pipe from top of the pump, pull the pump housing apart, splita into 2 pieces, really stiff though you have to puill really hard. you can then pull out the fan and clean all the bits with a toothbrush.

mine is then silent for about a week until it starts buzzing again.

hope this helps, it took me 2 months to realise you can do this.
