New Stray

We found a stray puppy and my mom says to get ride of it tomorrow. But it loves my brother. I wish we could keep him

You'll need to inform someone you've found him/her (not sure of the laws over there as over here we are obliged to inform the dog warden, but vets and pet shops are a good place to start spreading the news). Put some posters up and see if you can find his/her owner, there could be someone out there missing him/her greatly.

You should check at a vet to see if he's microchipped- also, it's best not to let him get near any of you cats/dogs (if you have any) as he might have a disease and you wouldn't want it spreading

doubt that... he is someones pet I know he is. He comes and he is well fed and nice he is not like one of those old strays that show up worms and what not. he is clean,well fed, friendly and a lot of other stuff that classify as a pet.lol

All the more reason to find his owner and not keep him. Have you taken him to the vet for checking for a microchip? It'd be handy to take him even if he hasn't got one, as they may know him from previous visits. I would also contact the local police, so they have a record if anyone rings to report their dog missing.

@mommyof2bettas - Those chips are really wonderful but sadly a lot of pets dont have them although they could end a lot of problems that are accociated with missing pets. Wish they all had em

I totally agree! We're getting our kitty microchipped soon- he's an outdoor cat so he really needs it!! I don't leave him with his collar on since I'm afraid it might hurt him-if it gets stuck or whatnot
