OK, so I've just had a new spawn from my albinos.
Now, my success rate hasn't been good with these guys so far.
Until recently I had 1 male and 2 females. Of those only 1 female has ever spawned.
The hatch rate hasn't been good and I'm not convinced about the fertility of them.
However, thanks to FishyJake13, I've now got a group of 9, of which at least 3 different females are spawning. 1 of them being the female from the original 3.
Clever little fish have only gone and laid a large number of the eggs on the base of my koralia, so it should be pretty easy to move them.

I'm going to leave them until this evening before moving them, as they don't seem interested in eating them.
In the past I've had them in a floating hatchery in the parents tank but my fry tank is pretty well established now with a sponge filter and air stone.
I've got 4 juvi peppereds in there, a hastatus fry and a female endler with very slightly green water and a large clump of java moss and they seem to be thriving, so hopefully it'll be good for the albino eggs too.

Wish me luck :good:

Ooo congrats :good:

Keeping everything crossed they do well :)

I wish my fish would leave the cory eggs alone, they're like magnets attracted to them  i did manage to save 13,which hopefully have a few days left until they hatch :)

Good luck :good:

Hi JustKia :)

Best of luck with your new corys and all their fry! Now you will really start to enjoy them. :yahoo:

Be sure to move the eggs as early as possible this evening. At a certain point they lose their stickiness and will be more difficult to remove them and reattach them to another surface. I'd keep an eye on the endler too. While I don't know for sure about endlers, I've had surprisingly young guppy fry attack tiny corys.

I'll be looking forward to following their progress. :D

Ack this spawn came at a really bad time. I've had huge problems with my substrate and needed to do a complete strip down to get it out and of course the corys went and laid a large proportion of the eggs where I couldn't reach

I managed to get around 50 I think and estimate there was probably another 150-200 I couldn't get at.
Well yesterday all the eggs vanished so I guess they must have hatched and I've lost them in the strip down grr (although I did make sure all the water drained via a fine net just in case).
Of the ones I managed to get into a hatch pot maybe 20 seemed to have gone fungussy, about 20 more appear to have a dark line inside (just like pepper cory eggs do) and a few are completely transparent/white, leaving me with 6 (I think) wrigglers.

So, we'll see how these little guys fare
