:good:

does it come with a chain - think it may do more hanging around my neck on a saturday night with a open shirt and hairy chest!

i think sticking with what we all do: water changes, good filtration etcetera will always be the best way :good:

Urrrm... riiight. Silver is antimicrobial, that's true, and killing off diease-causing pathogens is fair enough, but the thing to wonder is whether it has the same wonderful antibacterial effect on the filter, in which case (well, in any case) it definitely can't reduce ammonia, but could well reduce nitrite and nitrate by means of giving you rocketing ammonia levels.

Utter bunk. It's not even bulk silver that is antimicrobial -- it is silver its colloidal form that has the antimicrobial properties -- and even that isn't all that powerful really. What mechanism does it claim to do any of the things it claims to do? I.e. how can silver reduce ammonia? I know that ionic silver chloride (AgCl) forms some interesting complexes with ammonia. But, it doesn't reduce the levels. The ammonia is still there, just in a slightly different form. No scientific mechanisms proposed, no verifiable sources cited...

All in all, if anyone buys this product, there are a fool.

as i said....anyone got a chain, im still working on the hairy chest lol
