not really a new setup been running now for a while been trying to get a few problems sorted
basically all down to i didnt have enough live rock and the stuff i did have in wasnt cured and it took nearly a month to cure (may i add i bought it as cured :( )
all seems ok now

stats so far

juwel rekord 120
im using a hanna digtal test for these 2
temp= 25
ph = reads about 8.1 in the mornin but goes up to 8.4 late aftenoon is this normal and ok
ammonia im having a little problem with this i bought a salifert test kit is the liquid supposed to go clear as in water clear or white
nitrite 0
nitrate 25
gonna do a 50% waterchange at the weekend
am i better off mixing the water and leaving it over night or can i just mix it get it up to temp and then put it staight in as long as there is no undissolved salt going around

also can i keep most soft corals under t5 lighting i found a twin unit with bulbs on net for 45quid brand new all in a hood type of thing which looked pretty good
not gonna buy yet tho

also should i be feeding a little bit of food every now and then to feed the rock or will it be ok
