Hi everyone, I'm new here! Not too experienced within this hobby and I haven't had a tank in over 5 years... but yesterday I finally hardscaped and planted my Dennerle 55L scapers tank again. Really missed it!

What would you change?

The set up is excellent. Changes? i would speed up time so we can see how good that'll look when the plants get established and grow....

Love the scape! Any ideas for what will inhabit it?

Very nice😊
The cat is super cute too!
Some scapers crush a bit of rock and sprinkle it around the edges of the large rocks to make it look natural, or they find ‘in between’ size rocks to gradiate the rocks and substrate.

What would I add ? Floating plants😊

Put a picture on the back of the tank to make the fish feel more secure (when you get fish).

Have a coverglass on the tank to stop fish jumping out, reduce evaporation and save power by reducing heat loss in winter.

Make sure you can see behind the rocks and wood and dead fish can't hide and rot among the plants.

Don't put a top on but allow the plants to grow emersed out of the aquarium; be sure to pick non jumping fishes that are comfortable at room temperature.
