ok, ive had my freshwater setup for a little over a year, it is a 150 gallon and i started offwith an oscar and a couple tinfoils and a red pacu, less than a month ago i had to get rid of my oscar because he was tearing my pacu to shreds, last week i traded in my pacu. i thought about getting a silver arowana but i decided that they get too big. soo.. i went out and bought 6 australian rainbows and 12 giant danios instead. im tired of dealing with territorial fish so i thought these would do fine. anyway will either the danios or the rainbows breed in my tank? and how big do these guys get? ive read anywhere from 4 to 6 inches. i can already tell that these babys love to school, anyinfo would be great, thanks.

Do you know what Rainbows you have?

They can be small like Neon Rainbows (2")

Boesmanii's (my favourite) grow to 3.5 -4"

The Red New Guinea one (G. Incisis) upto 6"

They tend to get quite deep bodied as they mature and there are several species available.

I think they can breed in the aquarium.

i dont know, the tag said australian rainbows, but they are already 3 inches in length so im assuming that they are the either the new guineas or the boesmannis. what about the danios, will they breed???

I don't see why they wouldn't so long as your water quality is good.

Do you have a pic of the Rainbows? Could you describe the colors?
