I've just got 6 sawbwa resplendens sized 1-1.5cm from an online order and planning to do quarantine for 1 week however the tank they are intended to go in has a honey gourami and 3 full-grown sawbwa resplendens. should I wait for the new fish to put on size? or would they be alright being added after quarantine period. Thanks :)

I quarantine for 4 weeks, longer if any issues arise. I'd be worried that the fish look to have sunken stomachs which could be an indication of disease.

I noticed that they hadn't really eaten much yet. They have been in that tank for about 3-4 hours and the other fish with them have eaten. Obviously, I know they are small timid fish but I would have hoped to see them feeding by now

It's early days. Hopefully their appetite will improve.
Are the other fish new and in quarantine? If yes did they come from the same place at the same time?

unless they are significantly smaller than the other barbs, they should be fine with each other

Yes all from the same place the sword tails and corys are for a friend tank and will be taken out soon

Thanks! The other ones are about double the size of the new ones so hopefully, no aggression will occur after quarantine.

are the small ones bite size to the big ones?
if they can't fit in the big one's mouth there should be no problem
same for many schooling and grouping fish imo

Yea id think they'd be too big for bite size my other concern is the female honey gourami I've never seen any aggression towards anything else in the tank however these fish are all smaller than the fish and shrimp I have in my main tank

hmm, i;ve never had honey gouramis before. i have giant pearl gouramis though, and they never harass smaller fish, they keep to themselves.
is there only one honey gourami?

Yea there was a male and a female but the male had to be returned because of aggression when bubble nests were made probably my fault for keeping them in a cube aquarium. the female usually keeps to herself unless there is food and she gets first dibs
