After doing a ton of research and looking at the plecos available in my area I got a nice little rubber lip pleco. Its currently in my 20 gallon with 5 zebra danios and nothing else. The momment I put it in it darted for a corner where he basically stays. Ive dropped algae wafers in there for him at night and before I leave the house for the day and come back to discover that they havent been touched. My main concern is that it hasn't eaten. I dont mind if it's shy and likes to spend all its time hiding as long as it's healthy, happy, and well fed. Is there any way I can help him adapt to his new environment and get him eating.

i have a rubber lip and i barely ever see him, i used to think he wasnt eating because i never saw him and the other day he made an appearance and my how he has grown, give him a few days to get adjusted. good luck

Well it seems that my pleco might actually be eating. Today while making a PowerPoint presentation on my computer I turned around and saw something small and brown searching the gravel and when I looked closer it turned out to be my pleco. Of course when I got closer it bolted for its little corner :(. I still love this little guy though..
