I have moved my remaining 10 pygmys over to a 10 gal tank with the intentions of them breeding i hope...

Plus with them being in the 55 gal,i hardly saw much of them,so hopefully they'll do ok in here for now, they do have 4 guppy fry for company :)

Pygmys hiding, not overkeen on the castle, but it'll do for now

Looking good :good: im going for some pygmys in my arcadia arc tank i think they look ace.

Whats the name of the plant second from the left please?

looks lovely Harlequins, looks like they got used to the castle though x

Hi Harlequins :)

How cute! I always liked seeing castles in a tank. :D

Hi Harlequins :)

Thanks for showing us the video. It really shows your tank up to it's advantage.

Are you planning to raise the fry in the same tank or will you be removing the eggs? If so, it might be a good idea to separate the bunch of plants so that there is more dense vegatation at the substrate level. Watch out for the guppies too. Even very young guppy fry will attack newly hatched corys.

Thanks inchworm :)

If i am lucky enough for them to give eggs i will remove them from the tank :good:
Thanks for the tips on the plants :) i need to add a bit more sand has the plants keep pulling out,any ideas on how to keep the plants down in the sand?

Thanks

hi harlequins, if you buy plants from p@h they come in little concrete cups which weigh it down, i have used lead strips before but I dont find them any good

don't EVER leave plants in the pots/rock wool/metal strips that you buy them in. it will stunt them. if you take of the leaves from the bottom two inches of the stem, then you can plant it at a slight angle, and they shouldn't come out. or you could float the plants for a few days, until they root a bit, then it will make planting easier.

cheers :good:

Thank you :)

I have put more sand it and managed to anchor the plants in the sand using glass pebbles under the sand,so hopefully they'll stay in place until they start rooting :)
