I'm getting the liner from home depot. It's a 550gallon flexiable for $65. Sound about right? What's interesting is the smaller pond liner is like 20 bucks more. I guess they just figure people the get into ponds usually start out with a smaller pond. Anyway, I want to do a ledge rock boarder around it with cat tails, ferns, asorted flowers, and maybe acople very low growing shrubs. Plants for in the pond would be mini dark pink water lillies and probably acople other things but I haven't decided yet. I want to have a foutain over some large flat rocks that flows into the pond at one side. I'll be making the filter using a 50gal rubbermaid storage bin. Hopefully I'll be able to hide it half way under ground.
I'll also be making a tiny 50gallon pond by the lake just for fun. I don't know what I'll put in it. It will have a small filter, probably 15gallons. I will have some way to keep it cool and well oxygenated. I simple rock boarder with no other plants because the wildlife is untouched by our lake. No sod.
