So I went to the lfs to pick up a few more cardinals to bulk up my shoal a bit and check out the new stock and found this little guy... well glimpsed is more accurate. He vanished off his rock so fast I wasn't even sure I had seen a green plec... He's a bit stressed with the transport so I took only the one pic.
Wandering round some more I found a tank with tiger plecs, since I wasn't sure how big they get or anything I left those for now. Looking in the ancistrus tank I discovered there were none left . I've been looking for another one since one of my babies died a few days after I got him. As I wandered back to the cardinal tank I looked at the tiger plecs again. Lo and behold out from behind a rock slips this guy... A nice sized BN! The guy in the shop tried to tell me it was a wild ancistrus (which they're selling for £15 each) but he looked younger than them to me... so I finally got the fish for £3 the same as the baby tank breds they sell !
Again looking totally stressed out in his bag...
A couple of hours later I was feeding the fish and dropped a pellet in for the catfish/corys and out he popped looking much happier !
No sign of the bulldog tho, I *think* I saw the tip of his nose under a different piece of bogwood . My other BN was happily sitting on *his* piece of bogwood surveying all these new additions.
