Hi.I received plants for my new tank which I don't get till 1 week. Will I be ok to store them in a bucket of water or should I squeeze them into my fluval edge 46.that already has 3 java ferns in it.thanks

You'd be fine if it's chlorinated and has access to good light.

EDIT: dechlorinated lol

They'll be fine in a bucket; just make sure they get some light and don't get too cold

Depends partly on what they are. Some will be better in a damp area as they'll have arrived from emersed growing and you really only want them to adapt once, don't do that with obigate aquatic plants like vallis though.

Can you explain obigate please? :)

Certainly, it's a typo, should read obligate.

Or possibly the door to an old jedi's house.

So an obligate aquatic plant HAS to grow underwater, right?
