sooo..i have decided to make an addition to my 110, kind of like adding on a bedroom to the house! considering the amount of half broken, unused tanks taking up space in my garage, i will dissamble a couple and take them on a trip to the glass shop to get cut. my current 110 is 5ft long, 2ft deep and 17.5" tall. i plan to build a seperate tank that will sit to the right of the current tank with the same height and depth, only 2ft long instead of 5. the dimensions will be 2ft by 2ft by 17.5" tall, 44 gallons with a center overflow pipe, and it will share the same 55g sump with the 110. my inspiration to build the addition is to add water volume to the system, expand stocking options, and make it a little more unique then the rest (will be in the market for a bigger skimmer too!). plan to stock the tank with aggressives; not sure which ones yet. i also would like to try my hand at building a custom one piece base rock out of concrete that will surround the center overflow standpipe, similar to how i built up the rock work around the standpipes in the current tank, any info on this part of the project would help, such as methods of sculpting the concrete, etc..heres a quick sketch of the end result (after the black acrylic fascia gets put on):
