Its been a while, I got some new pics of our 150 gallon reef setup. Just picked up a Mandarin since our tank is about a year old and established...everybody has been healthy for a long time so figured it was a good time to get a new fish. Hope you enjoy...

Very nice tank!

what is the coral in the second last pic. Also do you have any problems with aggression between the powder blue tang and the blue hippo tang?

Its not a ton of hard work, weekly water changes but my boyfriend has it down to a science....the tank is pretty low maintenance at this point.

The coral in the second to last pic is a galaxy...and as far as the tangs go as we introducted them they did their hazing routine but now they get along just fine. They swim around together and have their own seperate sleeping areas...they are only territorial about their spots once the lights go out though. They definately dart around one another and have little scuffs but for the most part they get along...or maybe just tolerate one another, hard to tell what goes on in the mind of a fish...all that I know is that there havnt been any big incidents and they are all healthy.

Looks great Jen. I love your tangs they look very healthy.

Wow, speachless, thats an awesome tank . How old is the elegance coral and where do you live (US/UK/AUS/Other)?

The elegant we have probably had about 9 months now. We live in Virginia in the United States.

OMG so jealous, mind if I grill you on your setup? I haven't been able to keep one alive yet :(

Lighting?
Flowrate?
Chemistry (temp, sg, pH, calc, alk, mg, NO3, PO4)?
Feeding (what foods how often)?
Skimming?
Any wavemaking devices employed?
Carbon?
Has it ever been through stings or other stressful events?
Water source?
Water change schedule?
Any Mechanical Filtration?

I'd love any answers you could help me out with :D

I am about to head out but Ill answer what I can now...

VHO lighting, 4 powerheads, they get fed once a day...the prepared foods we switch them up...and seaweed. We used to use a protein skimmer but took it out a few months ago and have had no issues...we do have a wavemaker hooked up to the powerheads...we use Reverse Osmosis water...30 gallon water change weekly...no extra filtration just the live rock. As far as the technical stuff like the levels my boyfriend checks them so I am not sure on that. During the beginning we had issues with ich but we got a UV sterilizer and that has gotten rid of the problem completely...coral wise some have been healthy since we got them and sometimes they will die off...some due to stings from other corals...or maybe just not being healthy in the store. Overall it seems pretty darn stable right now...

Hope that sheds some light...
