New Pics Of My Cichlid Community (very Pic Heavy!)

Heres a few updated pics of my Cichlid community,I recently added a pair of Kribensis (that were flirting like crazy in the shop) and some Bosemani Rainbowfish

I plan to add 3 Clown Loaches and either some Corydoras or a Ruby Shark to complete my stocking.

Current Stock....(48X22X26 = 356 L = 78 IG = 94 USG) (thanks Minxy/Dave)

I Plan to have a tank a similar size next year, with american ciclids, given me some great ideas!

As far as I know they are 2 small 2 sex,they all look the same right now

What do you guys think of my Krib pair? they are the nicest I have ever seen around here usually they are very drab! They are showing breeding behavior right now so god knows what chaos this may cause!

If you do get a big tank I totally recommend Severums and Male Pearl Eartheaters (Brasiliensis) for color! my Gold Severum is as bright as my Yellow tang in my reef tank that i used to own.

Your kribs look great! Make me wish I could find some around here( havn't seen any in over a year and a half). I wish I had angels again too! Great looking fish, and stunning tank. Can't wait for more pic's!

Thanks mate,if your ever in Taunton Somerset be sure to check out Maidenhead Aquatics near wellington...they have tons of them...i'm just really happy i finally found a good set! like you see in mags and stuff,all the ones I kept before (about 5 pairs over the last 10 years) have been dull and drab!

So i'm really pleased

Not too young to sex the boese, thats a definate male, very easy to tell, the females are no where near as colourful, the males have all the colouring really. If you can get pics of the other two, I can tell you what they are.

They look Identical Minxy,So they must be all males...how many lady friends should I get for them? I was planning on stocking 5 max because I'm goign to be overstocked when my last stocking go in (Clowns etc) and relying on large water changes and my 2 established oversized external filters to help me out

Well in theory I wont be overstocked until all the fish are fully grown...so in like 5 years or something

I really like red rainbows also.

Also since your a Severum lover liek me...

Is this little dude ever going to get colourful?

Is he a common green or something different? my old large green was banded when I had him and never had a blue face

This little guy does get a slight hint of red in his bottom thin and the blue has turned up recently around the face.

If he is always going to stay quite drab I may give him to my friend and keep my eyes out for a Rotty or a Red Spotted.

If all the boese are the blue at the front orange on the back, then yes male, add two females if you can.

The little sev, looks more turquoise to me, your older is a heros efasciatus, like my little two, which have many colours and I would say the turquoise/green is, look them up, you may be able to id them

Thanks guys,yeah its 50-50 wether Sevs will eat smaller fish,I definitley would trust them with Neons.....but saying that my rainbows are no bigger than a streamlined 2" and he could eat them easy if he wanted to but don't seem interested.

Just been pebble picking today so going to rescape later and post some pics up.

I wanna make some more 'private' caves so my Kribs can do there thing.

My Female Krib is so horny she has gone completely red and her belly looks to have grown to double the size and shes flirting like crazy with my male,the male seems to not like it but has been chasing my Gourami and Firemouths which are both triple his size! lol

Ready to breed? they are both about 2",maybe slightly bigger.

They spend most of the day defending their pebbles they live inbetween (large beach pebbles laid securely in a stack on top of hollowed out plant pots)
