New Pico Finished..... With A Difference

ok had this idea for a while, a pico with sump, refugium and trickle filter all in one unit

the tank area is 9 ltrs plus 5ltrs in sump and 6ltrs in refugium

total cost £15 for equipment

i got the glass for free
 
well thumbs up for trying something different... but you'd of been best off using that as a single tank and buying a canister filter IMO

got 3 like that already, if we didnt experiment fishkeeping wouldnt be where it is today

and it will be home to a dwarf hermit when it is ready and the live rock is in there

a friend is a glazier, i gave him a rough drawing and he cut all the glass from off cuts in 6mm glass to my drawing.
i built it up, cut up some old conduit for the media, bought a £5 heater, £3 pump and £7 lamp.
what started as an idea is now my hermit home...... well will be in the next week or so.

still got to get some plastic to cover the outside of the filter and the back, then put in the cheato lamp but the hermits dont seem to care
