New Parrot Fish?

The pet store in my area has some Dalmation Parrot fish. I wanted to do research to see if they were dyed or something...BUT I can't find anything online about these guys. Could it be a new parrot fish???

Local pet stores have a bad habit of nameing fish inappropriately for lack of the specie's actualy name. I have never heard of a dalmation parrot, but i have seen spotted and mottled varieties.

I actually went back and asked the manager. They are not dyed. Very pretty fishes. I will be getting one soon!

Chances are that this parrot fish is just incorrectly named, and are you really going to believe what the manager says at any LFS, trust me... I've been in the business of pet/fish stores, my managers all wanted one thing and one thing only, more sales...

U got any pics of this fish yet? I'm kind of curious to see what it looks like..

Recently bought a blood parrot(it's all orange, naturally, I think). Anyways, it's two other tankmates both small areas of black around their fins and forehead..Almost reminded me of coloring on a goldfish...


Can't wait to see some pics....

Our store keeps convicts with parrots and they get along splendidly.

kay, cause after i take some spawn out of the 30g with a pair of cons, i was think about re-arranging with some parrots, or some more cons. It will probably be cons cause they are cheaper. Ohh yeah, i went to a fish store a while back and they were dyeing pink cons purple!!!!!!!!!!!!!
