New Pangio Loaches

I treat myself to 5 Pangio Oblonga at the weekend and am so chuffed with them I thought I would share some pics.

Nelly: They are a tropical fish, close up they do look similar to weather loaches which are coldwater fish.

I think it was about £180 reduced from £299, Ive had it about 3 years.

Very nice. You are getting quite a nice collection of loaches

I got 5 B. kubotai last Friday and Im getting 4 more tommorrow. Im still excited about that

EDIT: Those look a lot like very small Misgurnus anguillicaudatus. I saw some the other day that looked just like that and they were labeled "Small Dojo's". I wonder if they were actually Pangio Loaches....

Hi Blask, I think I have 3 Black Kuhli's and 2 Cinnamon Kuhli's.

As I understand it the Black Kuhli Loach (Pangio Javacanus) and the Cinnamon Kuhli Loach (Pangio Pangia) have both been reclassified as Pangio Oblonga.

so it would seem that there are many species of fish called black kuhlie;
the same as there are many species called kuhlie

one can infer from that the name kuhlie is generic, in the same way that danio is generic
