New pair coming soon!

I couldn't wait to share my happy news haha.

I'm getting a pair of bettas from Shelia Davis from the Carloina Betta Breeders chapter of the IBC (though the betta pals program). She's mailing them out to me on Wednesday, and I should have them Thursday.

She said they're "steel butterflies/marbles that are pretty different. A few of the males I have from this spawn have started out as a butterfly then go marble" So I'm not sure exactly what to expect!! I'm still excited though.

I can't wait!! They're only 3 months old too. I'll post pics as soon as they arrive and get settled in!!

My betta pals fish arrived today! Everyone is healthy and happily swimming around. Sheila surprised me with an extra female as well. The "extra" female is missing her ventrals, but she's stunning -- they're all siblings, but she's a darker blue with almost a purple tint to her. Really really pretty.

Here are a couple pictures of the male and female (the one with ventrals) -- both pics were taken with a flash, so they don't give you that good of an idea of how they look. I'll try to take some better pics tomorrow with natural lighting.

One question -- I know he's a steel blue butterfly, but would he be a delta tail??

Haha thanks. That's what I thought but I'm kind of new to the deltas/super-deltas/half-moons, so I wanted to double check instead of calling them something wrong.
