Has anyone tried out this organic stuff
these guys swear you dont need any skimmers LR etc, they say all you need is this stuff and you can stock you tank instantly

to be honest I didnt quite follow what they were trying to get at there...but it sounds like BS to me.

An interesting concept.

They are basically saying you should do water changes...

After years of developing ways to avoid water changes (skimmers, LR, DSB, Algae Turf Scrubbers, macroalgae) they are saying that in fact we should go back to 25% water changes.

I suppose there could be some benefit in a FOWLR tank where you have a higher stocking than a reef and thus find yourself doing a lot more in the way of water changes...Though I would rather invest in more effective algae filtration (such as an Algae Turf Scrubber).
