NEW OR USED AQUARIUM

I'm in a bit of a dilemma of what to do, so would like some advice please..

I'm in the process of buying a bigger tank for my fahaka puffer. These are the two options I have.

Brand new tank custom built, 140cm x 43x 60 with glass lid 360litre for £200

Or a used 420litre tank with stand and two external filters measuring 153cm x 116 x 165 for £350. Will attached photo of this tank

What would you guys get?

Yes will only be for my fahaka only 5inch now but I think this tank should be OK for a few years, wouldn't you say?

Actually the used comes with 2 filters which can make your life easier and comes with everything. That will save you in the long run. See if you can get it for 300 or less

Filters not an issue as have two mature ones I can use from another tank. Just want to make the custom tank would big enough for a year or two

Because the picture is not of a tank of those dimensions.

The second one IMO. It all depends on your budget, but the second deal looks like a steal.

All used tanks are going to have wear but is the wear minimal or structural damage.
Ive had my 20 long for about 15 years now, its been through 5 moves and while its got scratches and grime and isnt sparkly new its structurally sound.
Personally id take the used one cuz it comes with the stand and filters, both things that are expensive. As long as the tank and stand are structurally sound id be all in

How can you be sure?

If the tank was 153cm (5ft) long x 116 x 165 (5.5ft) high) it would look square. The tank is rectangular so the sizes are not correct for the tank alone.
