I have one of these and i think i prefer apple snails. Nerites lay white eggs all over the tank, which are unlikely to hatch, and look very unsightly. Also a pain to remove

They do look good though

Nerite eggs need brackish water to hatch. So their population is easy to control if they're in freshwater, since they can't hatch.
