New Live Rock

Hello all,

Today I added the first of the live rock to my new nano tank (the rest going in tomorrow) and after about half an hour of it being in I noticed a lot of activity. There are lots of little white tentacle-looking things sticking of various holes in one of the pieces. They are spread over the entire thing and all seem to be individual. They move about a lot which at first I thought was the flow of the water but it isn't. They also stretch out and sort of feel around, one stretched out about two inches and started picking up sand and quite a large shell/rock piece. Some of them seem slightly thicker and shorter whilst others are longer and thinner.

Any idea what they are? Are they good or bad? I've looked all over the internet but there seem to many things they could be...many bad things too

they will be harmless and nothing to worry about. Just one of the numerous critters that live in and on the rock.

Oh, I saw them on the internet but wasn't sure! Its so weird...I just want to sit and watch the rock, its exciting and yet slightly scary as well
