This little one came home with me today as a none feeder who had not ate a thing in 3 weeks .She was being kept in a viv with a heat mat and sand substrate, she wasnt being sprayed and only had a dish of water to drink from.

she was a very muddy brown colour and after a 5 min shower to get her rehydrated then i put her in her new viv with a spot bulb for basking and UV lighting she changed into
yemen005.jpg

and was eating within an hour

 Well done Graham. She looks amazing, and it only took you a week. Is she the same as the other chameleon?? Adorable.

:good:

Thanks but i cant really take much credit, all she needed was the right setup and sprayed rather than a dish of water to drink and she was back feeding.

No she is a different species she is a Yemen chameleon

dont yemens get 2 foot long including tail? I was going to get one until i read that. This would be too big for me. :D She is beautifl and loverly coloured. Nice one

I have an adult yemen who is over 2 yrs old and he is about 13" but a lot of that is tail

just out of curiosity you are asking advice about Veiled chameleons are you still planning on getting one or not so i know if you still need advice

Yes i am still getting a chemelien (sp)
What species would u recomend? and whats the connection between yemen and vields?
thanks
sean

i have seen info that says yemens get 2 foot and vields get 12 inches. I hate misleading info. Thanks for clearing that up
