I figured I should say more about him since I've had him on my sig for a while.
This is Samson before.

I got him from my aunt's backyard because they didn't want to feed him and he had already gone 5 days without eating a good meal by the time I got him. I was at first contemplating talking him to a shelter but it was kitten season and I knew what wouldve happened to him especially since he wasn't a social cat. He was extremely thin and had a lot of bald spots. I put some flea stuff on him and let him go in my backyard. He disappeared for a while and then came back. He's now gained his weight back and has no more bald spots. He comes inside my house sometimes and lets me pet him more. I don't think he would be able to be an indoor cat but I'll know when I get him fixed. Everytime I close the door when he's in the house he sprays. Hopefully it's just him marking his territory and not him being stressed from being indoors. I have the cat trap so I can get him fixed but he doesn't seem to be too enthusiastic to go in it. I'll get him though.

EDIT: Just to update. He has been neutered now. And even if he took something out of the incission they made, he's eating, drinking, going to the litterbox, and being a sweet boy now. We'll see how he does in a week or so.

He is a very pretty cat. You must be very proud of him I have one that looks like him and his name is victor...

thank you ;)

We have a problem with him at the clinic though :( Since they didn't close him up when he was neutered he took something out of himself and left it out so now it just looks really weird :/ . Then to top that off we don't have our doctor right now and we noticed it when she had left already. She's not coming back till Wednesday. We just gave him an antibiotic and hopefully nothing will happen to him while she's gone. We might have to put him back under anesthesia when she gets back.

Oh I hope he turns out to be ok. I take it you work for a vet. I was thinking about getting a job here. I would love nothing more than to be able to help animals. I was born to take care of them I believe.. :D

Samson is lovely. Please let us know how he gets on when the vet gets back. Well done for catching him, I hope he calms down and stops spraying now so that he can be inside with you more.

I think it's great that you took him in, you're probably right about him being overlooked in a shelter with lots of kittens but I adore all black cats and think he's fantastic.

Yea, I do work at a clinic. It's great too :) You should try getting a job at one Angel Lady. I admit that I was terrified of dogs when I first started but I've gotten pretty use to them already. I'm still nervous around some breeds though and to tell you the truth, it's not pitbulls :p
We also have a lot of aggressive cats...but then again, there are only a few cats that behave at the clinic. I don't really blame them but they get evil sometimes.

Thanks cheekeyarab :)
I'll update when the vet comes back.
He had a spraying contest with another cat before he was neutered...our clinic smelled horrible when we got in there and there were stains all over their kennels  but he hasn't done that ever since. Of course, both cats were neutered the same day. Hopefully he will calm down with the spraying.
He lets other people pet him now though :)

Good luck at the vets with Samson tomorrow, I'll keep checking for updates and I've got my fingers crossed for him (and you!)

We haven't done anything for him yet. We're going to get to him tomorrow. Hopefully he'll behave. They're thinking of sedating him and then just removing whatever is hanging off and closing him up. He'll also get an e-collar when that's done. I can't believe he's been in there for 2 weeks already :(
I'll try to update tomorrow. Thanks for caring though :)

Just to update, Samson is doing fine. We did the surgery today. We had to remove the piece of him that was hanging out because it was dead tissue already. Apparently he had been knawing at himself and taking things out of his incission. They actually did stitch him up but not all the way. He has to drain all the excess fluids. So now he's fine...he was just a little drugged when I left. But he ate and drank some. So all is well for him now
