Yes, I did. I figured that was one of the best ways to get a pure line. I bought a CT before and the babies are anything but.

Yes, I'm hoping to shortly. I have a lot of mutts to get rid of. I had a CT female that tossed off a bunch of weird looking tails that I am trying to adopt out. If anyone is interested... free...

If the father of your spawn wasn't CT as well that would explain why you didn't get CTs... it's considered a recessive trait, even though CT geno fish often show combtails

EDIT: Oops, started thinking about genetics and forgot what I was posting for in the first place, lol! The new pair is absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait to see babies from them!

I have never in my life seen so many different tail types in my life!!
I've got several that do look like CT's though - double and single ray.
Really strange.

Haha, I hear you on the LFS thing. The father of my spawn (copper plakat) was from my LFS, so I was kinda holding my breath wondering what the fry were going to turn out like. You should get all CTs if you spawn this lovely pair
