Hi I had a nano tank a few years ago with a betta, some ember tetras and a few ottocinclus. I lost my confidence with keeping a tropical tank after my betta died unexpectedly. I had been testing the water regularly and checking the temp so we still don't know what happened. After that I have the otto's to a friend and the ember tetras went back to the shop who kindly took them back.
I'm now doing loads of research before I try again with a tropical tank. Next time I want a much bigger tank with guppies but still figuring out tank mates etc.
I have also successfully kept goldfish indoors altho they have all died of old age a few years ago.
