Why whale urine is so important to life in the sea

Even biologists only capture a glimpse of the lives of whales. There are still many species whose lives are largely a mystery, particularly the deep diving whales.

The way I see it EVERY beastie in the ocean is important as to the ecology. Many hate algae in a tank but it is nature. Actually if you were to remove ALL algae from the world you would be dead. Most people think trees as to giving us oxygen but about 70% of the world's oxygen comes from algae.

Nature and the interaction of all plants, critters and even small beasties like microbes is what makes life continue to happen on this planet. Compared to nature we, as humans, are pathetic. We setup our pretty tanks as best as we can to make it good for our fish but we don't even touch the edges of true nature. At least some try and that is a good thing.
