New I Bar Question

Just got my new I bar 36". I thought they were 2 34 inch tubes, but they are 2 22" tubes off set. I wasn't too pleased about it as all pics shown show full length tubes. Also After 10 minuites the tubes were quite hot.Is this normal? I thought they would be cold as water and hot bulbs don't go

Is it the High Output T5 version? If so then they will be hotter than the standard T8 tubes. nothing to worry about

Will water splashing on bulbs shatter them?
