New hood on Rekord 70 (DIY built)

I've nearly finished building a new hood for my Juwel Rekord 70 out of beech laminated chipboard that matches the stand. I shall post more details in the DIY section soon, but for now, here is how it looks.

Open front gives good access and will have a rear light still shining down:

Back part also hinges open...............................and gives great access to the internal filter:

No more lifting the standard Juwel lid off to gain decent access or get at the filter.

Still to do:
The round holes in the sides are ready for (computer) fans to be installed.
Have to finish the inside off with yacht varnish before using.
Fit a 24watt T5 and a 36watt T5 lamp.

Hopefully some plans and more pics will follow in the DIY section when it is fully done.

Vivienne - there were very little carpentry skills involved! Most of the wood was cut by the man in B&Q
