so i brought my new crab home and today i noticed that hes missing 1 leg, should i do anything or do u all think he will be ok?Also he isint usecd to people around and he darts into his shell imediatly and wont come out, any thoughts on that, i thought id just work with him, but wasnt sure if u all had any ideas.

They will do that until they get to know you, which could take a while. All crabs are different.
Also if you've only got one you'll need to get some more. A group of four will be ideal. They like to be kept in groups and will be unhappy if they aint.

The leg should grow back when he has his next moult. Just make sure he has plenty of calcium available.

Give Karen a shout at Mantis Uk I had some Crabs off her recently. She is very helpfull.

Its bath time for mine tomorrow. No matter how hard I try, 'Sixty' always manages to nip me somehow

Edit: Sorry Tony. I just noticed you live in the US and I dont think Karen ships abroad. I dont think the Crabs would survive the journey. I'm sure someone closer to home may have some suggestions
