Hello!

My name is Harrison (Harry is shorter and quicker to say though ;) ) and i live in Glasgow in Scotland.

I have been browsing these boards for a few weeks since i got my betta, lots of information here! I usually post over at the Petfish.net forum. :)

At the moment, my Betta 'Fluffy' is in a small 2 gallon tank by himself until my new tank finishes cycling. My big tank is a 12 gallon and measures 24x12x12 inches. I'm running a Rena Heater and a Sicce Shark ADV filter/pump in the bigger tank and 6 young zebra Danios are cycling it for me :) I got my hood and light fixed up as well and the tank looks great, im in the process of trying to get the tannins out of a piece of driftwood, its taking ages!

Im buying a really cool piece of lava rock tomorrow, lots of hideyholes and will make a great centrepiece for my tank, i have a live plant in at the moment, i think its a java fern, but not too sure.

My plans for fish after the cycling are: 1 male betta, 4 Leopard Cories, and 6 neon tetras. I cant wait to have it finished!

Thanks for reading, hope to speak with you all soon

Well Hello Harry and welcome to the forum. :hi:

This is a great forum. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I'm sure you will enjoy your time here. :D

I see you have some cory cats. Any plans to breed them? :)

Welcome to the forums harry! The info here is great :D Good luck with the fish too :)

Well, i dont think the rock that i got today *is* lava rock. Its a sedimentary rock(white-ish and tan coloured) but it doesnt 'fizz' when vinegar is applied. This means its safe for the tank, right? -_- When you rub it hard, hardly any sediment comes off, if any at all, this is good too, right? Its a really great looking piece, i hope it can stay! (i got it at my LFS)

Inchworm: No, no corys yet, but soon after the tank cycles i'll be adding a few, they are soo darn cool! (and £3.95 each(!), about $7-ish)

Thanks BettaBoyz, i like to research a lot when it comes to things that interest me, and i thought it was especially important to do so when there were fishes lives involved :)
