Hi all,
I am happy to announce that my "possibly pregnant" guppy had babies today!!!
Of course, my female decided to continue being a total enigma, and I watched her this morning give birth LITERALLY while she was eating. If her appitite went down at all, it certainly wasn't noticeable! Silly girl did not even have the sense to hide or "nest" somewhere...which was fine by me because I got to see at least a few of the births.
I suspect she might have gotten a few since I did not use a breeding trap (just a well planted tank), but I have been able to spot at least 8 or 9 healthy and hungry babies swimming around-possibly more are hiding out in the plants. Since she is not chasing them and there are plenty of hiding spots I'm going to let her stay in there with them at least overnight so her system doesn't get too stressed (she's a panicky one)
Thanks everyone for your advice! I am so thrilled!
