Hello. We have woken up this morning to find around 30 fry in our tank. We currently have 5 male guppies, a female silver molly, 4 neon tetras, 4 ember tetras and a blood orange dwarf gourami. With the fry we are aware we are now overstocked in the tank and are in the process of setting a new tank up for them. We can’t work out if the fry have came from the molly and have been live birthed as molly guppy hybrid fry, or if one of our tetras have laid eggs and we have tetra fry. Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thanks

They are likely to be molly fry. Female mollies can and do store sperm and use it to have fry for many months, so if the molly has been in a tank with a male molly at some point in the last year she is capable of having molly fry not hybrids (which are not very common, or strong)
