Would you benifit, or like to see, a forum on TFF about Aquascaping?

Hey Everyone, i wanted to ask the leaders of TFF to add a new section devoted to Aquascaping, but before i asked i wanted to poll to see if others share my opinion. It would be nice to hear about how diff. people have their tanks interior set up.

I voted 'no' although I think it is a good idea. Instead of starting yet another forum... why not talk to the regulars at the plant forum and see what they think about changing the name of their forum. I know aquascaping is a lot more than just plants... but I also bet most of the plant fanatics know a lot more about aquascaping than just plants...

I voted no too, although i think its a pretty good idea. What about just a pinned topic ppl can add too if they wish?

I voted yes, some people are very unhappy with their tanks design and need lots of help, me included.

i voted no. aquascaping is just kinda what you do with your tank. not much a forum can do to help.

Because aquascaping, just like stocking, can't be dictated or rendered into a simple series of rules and guidelines. Each case is unique and dependent on the individual's taste and interests.

I'd personally would love to have a place to discuss just my theories and approaches to aquascaping my tank, something beyond just putting up a picture and hearing "great tank " eleven times.

I'd like to see an aquascaping forum. It seems like all the attention in the "Members Aquarium Photos" section is devoted to tanks with big, impressive fish and the three best planted tanks on the board.

well there could be a sub forum in the planted section, nut remember not all aquascaping is about plants ;)

I voted no because I don't think an aquascaping forum will get enough hits, but I do think that it should be addressed in another more active forum.
maybe DIY/Aquascaping or something.

That was what got me thinking about the new forum!!!! I was in the DIY forum, and no one had anything about aquascaping! so i thought it would be a good idea...

I say no too it's not of intrest to me for one and therefore won't get enough people to be intresting and second tanks for different fish are different it will go the way of the breeding forum if you need help just post in the species specific areas I don't want a bunch of community tank keepers telling me to put plants in my tank and it'l just confuse newbies who wanna make there tank nicer but are getting advice from people who don't know there fish, whenever mbuna tnaks are up people say to add plants that's dumb but it'l happen if thre is a general area for aquascapeing, but nuts idea is good will make the plant section more intresting

BUT! Aquascaping is not just plants, it the the arrangement of rocks, substrate or gravel, ornaments, and anything in a tank. Some people dont know where to begin :dunno: , so i thought it would help give people some good ideas and tips....
