ok I'm finished the bad dancing now, no need to be scared )
lol anyways, yesterday I finally got my colombian tetra 3 friends yesterday, 2 are quite a bit smaller than him, & 1 is just a baby but they're getting on great, even my black widow shoals with them sometimes!!
I floated the bag in there for an hour, then took out a small amount of water & added the same amount of tank water to the bag. Did this 3 times, at 20min intervals. During this time my original colombian was on the outside going nuts, originally ramming into the bag & generally getting himself all worked up, I turned the lights off, but it didn't help - so I thought there was going to be some massive blue when I released them, but it was a complete anticlimax!! They're so happy & peaceful, but active & eating, not seeming stressed at all.
Anyhoo, the question is - is there anything I did wrong or did that I shouldn't have done or didn't do that I should have done (if all that makes sense)? I'm getting 4-5 friends for my black widow next week or the week after, so I'm just looking for tips on introducing them, if there's anything I should do differently, because this was my first time....well 2nd, but 1st time was my original fish & I was told to just "dump them in" Will this number of fish be ok in my tank - it's 24" x 13" x 15" (I think it's a 15 gal or so)?
ok I'll stop rambling now. Thanx for reading!!
Michelle.
