new fish.....

Many a threads have been started because of these little guys...

The problem with bumblebee gobies is that there is a good chance the ones you got will need brackish water. There are two strains of bumblebee gobies, and they look almost identical (one needs brackish water, and one freshwater). I usually tried to go by whether the black stripes were solid (that should indicate that they are freshwater).

They seem to have gotten a reputation as being semi-aggressive, but mine are nothing but mild-mannered. They will, however, stand their ground if threatened. They can be hard to feed at times. Many people complain that it's hard to get them to eat. They almost never eat flakes, but usually do well with live foods, such as brine shrimp.

Hope this helps.
