After feeling very sad about my mollie dying.. My hubby took me to the LFS and bought me some new fish. :D We got 2 Clown Loaches which are about half an inch big.. they only babies :) We intend on buying a much larger tank soon so they wont be a problem. Thinking about getting a Rio 400.. Not completey sure yet though. We also got 2 Algea eaters, which are really funny to watch.

When we put them in the tank, our Red Tailed Shark seemed to get all teratorial on them. Wouldnt let the Clown Loaches out of the corner, Plus kept doing this strange sort of thing with his body. It looked like he was trying to bash them with his backend. They seemed really scared and we didnt know what to do. Anyway he seemed to quieten down and leave them alone. Now he just has a mad chase with the Algea eaters every now and again.

Hiya, red tailed sharks are very territorial, they flash their red tail as a warning, that's probably what that funny movement was. They tend to get confused with fish of a similar size and shape, and chase them all over the tank. Try putting in lots of plants and rocks/bogwood, so that it can establish it's territory without having to see the other fish all the time, they only tend to go for other fish when they can see them.
