Hi superfish and welcome to the forum :hi:

You could get one dwarf gourami to live (mostly) at the top level of your tank and 2 cory cats for the bottom.

The corys do not come in as many colors as some fish, but many have lovely patterns and designs on them. They are great fun to have and they get along with everyone. You would need to get at least 2 of them because they, too, are schooling fish and need a companion.

I have some Red eyes too. They get along great with my schoal of black shirts witch includes 1 short finnd black skirt, two long finned black skirts, two albino short finned skirts.

i agree with inchworm dwarf gouramis will go well and maybe a few neons, however when i had some red eyes they were quite violent towards other fish.

:D so would it be ok to keep all male platties together or would they fight and would they be ok with my red eyes

Also if you get platies get just females not males because i once watched ove my brothers platty(who was a male) and i put him in he tan with my other platies, my male platty attacked my brothers( probibly felt threatened).

-_- got 2 female plateys todays red eyes seem to be attacking plateys they settelled down after i fed them is this normal as bloke in fish shop said they would be ok together
