Well, my poor little betta died fairly suddenly last night. But i think it was from old age. My question is, is it safe to put a new fish in the same tank. THe wood in there has green stuff on it, i think its algee, but its not anywhere else in the tank. I was wondering it that is normal? i am a little nervous that the tank as some terriable desease. I don't think it does, the cycling had just finished, and i was all excited.

I was thinking that i would just try one fish, and see how he is for a few days. what do people think? Thank you.

When he passed did he look strange in any way? No outward symptoms or anything? How old was he?

no he looked like he always looks. just limp. :( it was sad. i think i might try guppies, since they can be beautiful like bettas but more then one can live together! *sigh*

How many gallons does the tank hold? Guppys are notrorious for breeding on a regular basis and you have to get the gender ratios right otherwise your group will experience alot of harrassment and agression.
