hi i av a rekord 96 tank :kana: it holds 96litres i av 5 neons 3 platys 1 guppy 2 male blue dwarf gouramis an 2 polka dot loaches the tank has bin set up 4 almost a year i wud like 2 add 5 mur neons 5 glowlights 5 xray 6 or 7 harlequin rasboras an african dwarf frog and a red tailed black shark im wurid bout space how my red tail blak shrk wil behave an if african dwarf frog wud be ok in that communiy set up :dunno:

You would be heavily overstocked if you added all the fish you suggested. I would reccommend adding the 5 extra neons or the 5 glowlights. The RTBS would be a risk with your dwarf gourami's as they are aggressive fish, would probably ignore the smaller fish but would almost certainly harass the gourami's.

I don't see a probblem with the african dwarf frog, that could be added in addition to the extra neons or glowlights.

I'm afraid you're already fully stocked. 96 litres is about 21 gallons (UK) and adding up the full-grown sizes of your fish it comes to about 25 IMHO

i aint ovrstokd iv reserchd it an evrything seems ok i tink i wil gt 5 tetras a african dwarf frog n dats it unless ne1 has ne suggestions :flex:

Well I dont really know much about polka dot laoches but a site said they grow about 10-12cm so with that in mind adding everthing else up id guess when everything is fully grown youll have about 82cm of fish.
Another site said 94 litres would house 116cm with a decentish filter/oxygen supply
but they normally over stock you so id take 10cm at least off giving you about 106cm. that leaves you with 24cm of 'spare' room for fish. Not much really but probably enough to add 3-4 more neons and perharps a dwarf frog. ( i dotn really know much about frogs so ill leave that to someone else) Lol that pretty much shows how badly over stocked you would of been.
Also, like i said i dont know much about those loaches but if theyre like other loaches they really need to be in a shoal with as the absoulute min of 3, so i dont know what your going to do there :dunno:
Everthing i just said might be completey wrong, so if anyone can correct please do but its sounds about right to me.
Ps: Ive read a few posts about the dwarf frogs and every one contained a warning about the african claw frogs. So dont get them mixed up. :)

38 views and no reply. Lol i think i put you off by asking for an expert to confirm it.
Ok can anyone confirm or disagree? (there the weight has been lifted)

5 neons= 5" (it would actually be 8.75" but they produce little waste and I find that the neons will only grow to 1.75" in large tanks)
3 platys= 6"
1 guppy= 2" (smaller if it is male)
2 male dwarf gouramis= 4"
2 polka dot loaches= 8"

So you have roughly 25" of fish...which is perfect because your tank is 25 (US) gallons. You could get away with adding 1 african dwarf frog. Remember though, you have to make sure they get enough food (frozen food is best) as they can't see very well so you can't just drop food in their anywhere. Its best to put it right infront of them. Also, lots of people haven't had luck feeding ADFs those "frog pellets" so make sure you have frozen/live food for it. If you want you could probably add 2-3 more neons to up your school.
