I don't have anything yet, I know how to cycle and all that stuff, I've had a tank before. This is just an idea for the fishies in it. I have a 10 gallon tank and I want a colorful tank with different species. If this IS overstocked, please suggest other ideas!!! :)
4 glofish
1guppy
2 platies
2 cory cats (4 if I can find pygmies)

Also, (I don't want to get one) but it caught my attention so I'm just curious. If I got a African dwarf frog, my tank has a lid, but there is a hole for the filter and a heater, but there's extra space. Couldn't it climb onto the side of the filter and jump out? Or are they fully aquatic and not care about jumping out? How did the topic before me get so many replies, and I have none? PLEASE REPLY!!!!

hi,
the stocking sounds fine,
the african dwarf frog is fully aquatic but will eventually find its way out just block it up with something,

cheers

no your safe enough there, ive had these together in a few set ups.

a word of warning about frogs - i have kept them in the past and its been a bit of a pain. When they are small, they are in danger of being picked on by fish so they hide away. this means you never see them and are quite hard to feed.
but i still love the little guys. I think i have got 3 in my tank at the mo, but havent seen them in a while...

IMO, not overstocked.
I would up the numbers of Corys and Glofish to 6 each

Thank-you! I was a bit precarious considering I came on here once and asked if I could get 6 glofish in my tank and they said it was overstocked. Thank-you so much for your help! I really appreciate it!! I am worried about one thing though. My glofish sort of nip at my guppy's tail and I'm afraid they'll do it to the platys. Would that happen? I only have one guppy.
Also, I am going to be gone for a week in Hawaii (YAY) but what can I do for my fish as no one is here on Thanksgiving to care for them?!(I just have 4 glofish and 1 guppy) Should I get those little vacation blocks or would that cloud my water and overfeed my fish? (I have Clarity If that helps)
I'm not getting a frog, though...

(sorry if this is a double post - PC playing up)

I would not recommend the feeder block things. they usually end in tears.

Best solution would be to find anyone who could feed them maybe once or twice?
If not, maybe look into the automatic feeders? they are still quite bad, but much better than the holiday blocks...

I have to disagree there, my Nutrafin 2X Automatic Fish feeder is extremely reliable, I usually stuff some flake and pellets and freeze dried foods, andwhen I return, all the fish are in excellent condition. I would actually recommend an auto feeder

I am leaving two days, and tomorrow I am going to pick up one from petCo. I am also picking up my catfish! HUZZAH!!! so this is what I can have in my tank?
1x guppy
6x glofish
6x cory cats
2x platies
correct?
